Superbowl Party

Jordan had a Superbowl party at his after-school care. For a snack, I decided to make Football Suckers. This was my first attempt at "making" candy so I took the easy route. I bought some of Wilton's Chocolate Meltables and a sports mold. The chocolate was easily melted in the microwave and then poured into the molds. I could only do 4 at a time so it took a few days. They were a huge hit. I sent about 45 and didn't get any back!

Weekend Wrap-Up

It's my first blog! How cute! I plan on updating often with what's going on with us. I'll post lots of pics and recipes too!

Soooo... the weekend in review
Saturday: Basketball Pictures, Basketball Game, House Hunting for 45 minutes until Swim Lessons, Swim Lessons, Food 4 Less, Trader Joes, home for half an hour for lunch, Wal-Mart, Torrid, back home just in time to make dinner. Wal-Mart is a big step for us. We hate it. However, we're making a valiant effort to save money so that we're prepared for home ownership. I did find a really cute shirt for my interview and it only cost $8.00. That almost made up for the stench of bad hygeine drenched in cheap perfume. We still feel bad as we don't agree with many of Wally World's practices. However, I've given up the idea of being able to buy strictly organic, American made products. Maybe when we win the lottery, we'll have money for ideology. After WM, we went to Torrid (the fat girl store) so that I could get a new outfit for an interview this Thursday, the 29th. A higher position would definitely help financially. I may even be able to afford The Bux. Sweet.

Sunday: I drove up to Stockton to accompany my cousin, Did, to a bridal show. We had fun. Scott had fun at home, by himself.
